This week we are celebrating being a New Zealander and all the beautiful cultures that we have here in NZ.
Questions:
Q1. Where were you born and how long have you lived in NZ?
i was born in Christchurch NZ, i have lived in New Zealand all my life { 13 years to be exact }.
Q2. What languages can you speak? or what language would you like to learn and why?
i know how to speak English and Maori. i would like to speak Spanish because of my Latina roots.
Q3. What are the best and worst things about living in NZ?
the best thing about living in New Zealand is being in a peaceful place. with not sort of conflict or war, i also love the landscape. There is nothing i know that makes it the worst place to live in.
Q4. How many cultures/nationalities are there in your class or school? What are they? Indian, Philippines, Maori,European and English from what i know of.
Q5. What is something that you have learned about a different culture?
India is the worlds largest democracy with 1.2 billion people.
Q6. What would you put in a time capsule to celebrate NZ culture?
private cultural things that my family and i do to celebrate being Maori.
Q7. If you could make another NZ public holiday, what would it be and why? Eg Matariki, Diwali, Chinese New Years or something else. i would make kids day to celebrate all kids under the age of 13
Q8. What does being a New Zealander or Kiwi mean to you? How does it make you feel? being a New Zealander makes me proud of all of the things New Zealand has over come.
